Top 5 Motherboards for i5 7500 in 2021
1. Asus H110M-K- The Best Affordable Motherboard for i5 7500
The Asus H110M-K is very good for i5 7500 as it is available in a brand new condition and comes at an affordable price tag of just a little over $100. Amazing isn’t it?
The H110M-K is a Micro ATX Motherboard that sports LGA 1151 socket. It not only supports i5 7500 but also supports most of Intel’s 6th and 7th processors and this is the main reason why I’ve recommended this mobo for Intel’s i5 6500 Mobo too. The mobo has two fan exhausts to cool down the processor and the best about the fan is, you can easily control it with Fan Xpert software.
In terms of design, it looks just okay but the build quality of the mobo is amazing. Also, there is no RGB lighting here so, keep your expectation a little low in this department.
When it comes to storage, you’ll be getting 4 SATA III ports and Asus has offered 2 cables in the box itself which is a good thing. One of the major drawbacks of H110M-K is that there are no M.2 slots for SSD, but if it doesn’t bother you much, you can ignore this issue.
There are 4 DDR4 RAM slots on which you can install up to 32GB of RAM. It is good enough to play games and run multiple applications in the background. For gaming, there is one PCIe 3.0 slot PCIe 3.0 running at x16 and also there is one PCIe 2.0 x1 to install sound cards, wireless cards, etc.
There is a total of 6 USB 2.0 ports and 4 USB 3.1 Gen 1 ports offered on this mobo which is pretty decent. Unfortunately, there is no USB Type-C available here. Also, you won’t be getting a Wi-Fi adapter with this mobo and you’ve to get it separately which won’t cost you more than $10-$20.

2. Asus Z170-A
The Asus Z170-A is again an excellent mobo that is perfectly compatible with i5 7500. Just like the above Asus H110M-K, this mobo also supports 6th and 7th Intel core processors. If you ever want to experiment with 6th gen CPUs, you won’t need another motherboard.
If you didn’t like the H110M-k for its basic design, then you are surely going to love this black and white accent look for Z170-A. It looks very attractive and it also has RGB lighting which will make the mobo more attractive in the nighttime. The heatsinks are also in a Silver metallic accent which also looks very unique and clean. Enough about the looks now, let’s move to the more important stuff now.
If for some reason you want more RAM than 32GB, then there is good news for you. This mobo supports up to 64GB RAM and the maximum RAM speed is 3200 MHz when it is overclocked. There are 6 SATA ports offered on this mobo along with a SATA express. Also, Asus has offered M.2 expansion slots to install SSD which is a good thing for a lot of people.
When it comes to gaming, there are 3 PCIe 3.0 slots and it supports both SLI and Crossfire. If you are a competitive gamer, then this feature might be really helpful for you. Also, there are 3 PCIe 3.0 slots that run at x1.
The port selection of Asus Z170-A is pretty decent. You’ll be getting 2 USB 2.0, 2 USB 3.0, 1 USB 3.1 Type-A and 1 USB Type C. The inclusion of USB Tye-C is going make a lot of difference as it stands out from its many competitors.

3. Asus Prime Z270-P- The Best Gaming motherboard for i5 7500
The third option you have is also from Asus but I promise this will be the last one. This is also a used motherboard but again it is tested and perfectly good to use. There is nothing to worry about that. If you have been looking for the Best Motherboard for i5 7500 and GTX 1060 for gaming, then this motherboard is for you.
The Prime Z270-P costs slightly higher at around $300 but it is surely worth taking a look If you have this kind of budget for a used motherboard. Let’s see what it has to offer for its pricing.
The Asus Prime Z270-P Motherboard comes in the black and gray accent which looks pretty average but not too bad either. The build quality of the mobo is again excellent just like my other Asus Mobos. Apart from i5 7500 processor, the mobo also supports the 6th/ 7th Intel Core processors of i3/ i5/ i7, Pentium, and Celeron processors.
You’ll get 4 SATA ports with Z270-P and you would get 2 SATA cables in the package itself. The unique thing about Asus Prime Z270-P is, it comes with two M.2 slots but there are some limitations to use both the slots at once. As usual, there are 4 DDR4 RAM slots available on this mobo with a maximum capacity of 64GB. For gaming, you’ll be getting 6 PCIe 3.0 slots. 1 of them is running at x16 while the other runs at x4 and x1.
The port selection by Asus on this mobo isn’t up to the mark. There are 8 x USB 3.0 ports and 6 x USB 2.0 ports offered but there is no USB Type-C like the above Asus Z170-A which is pretty disappointing in my opinion.
4. Asrock z270 killer sli/ac
If you are looking for the best motherboard for i5 7500 for gaming and overclocking, then you should definitely take a look at this Asrock z270 killer sli/ac because it has got everything a gamer would want. Let’s see what it can offer you.
The Asrock z270 killer SLI/ ac comes at a relatively high price between $200-$250. If you don’t mind spending few extra bucks to get back your old computer on track with i5 7500, then you can definitely go ahead with this mobo. The z270 comes with attractive black and white accents which stands out from many of its competitors. Also, you’ll be getting RGB lighting which you can control with ASRock’s official software.
If you are a person who gives importance to the looks of your motherboard, then you are surely going to love this color combination and design of this z270.
The z270 supports both Skylake and Kabylake processors of core i3/ i5/ i7, Pentium, and Celeron processors. Just like the above ASUS PRIME Z270-P, the maximum RAM capacity of this Asrock z270 is also 64GB which is pretty adequate for most gamers. Talking about the gamers, there are 6 PCIe slots of which two of them run at x16 and the remaining four run at x4. The board supports both Nvidia’s SLI and AMD’s Crossfire which will help a lot of gamers while playing games.
For storage, Asrock has offered 6 SATA ports and two M.2 slots to use SSDs. There is nothing to complain about the storage options here because you are getting plenty of options for storage which might be adequate for most people.
When it comes to connectivity, you are getting 8 USB 3.1 Gen1 ports and one of them is USB Type-C. One of the big letdowns of this mobo is, it doesn’t come with on-board WiFi and Bluetooth adapters. You’ll have to buy them separately.
I would highly suggest you watch the below video by Tech YES City to get more info about this mobo.
5. Gigabyte GA-H110M-A- The Overall Best Mobo for i5 7500
The last option in our list is from a big giant who is known for producing and delivering world-class motherboard i.e Gigabyte.
Recommended: Gigabyte vs MSI Motherboards: An Ultimate Comparison of two giants
The Gigabyte GA-H110M-A comes at an affordable price of just $150 but it has few limitations. The board perfectly supports the i5 7500 processor as well as most of the 6th and 7th gen processors out of the box. Gigabyte has advised updating the BIOS for 7th gen processors, hence I would highly recommend you do that at the earliest.
Gigabyte has provided this mobo with 4 SATA ports (2 cables offered in the box) but there are M.2 slots which is a bit of a shame. There are 2 DIMM slots on which you can install up to 32GB of RAM which I think is just okay. To install a graphics card, there is 1 full PCIe 3.0 slot running at x16 and 2 x PCIe x1 to install other devices. There is a lot of USB 3.0 and 2.0 ports available on this mobo but unfortunately, there is no USB Type-C.
