Intel Arc is an Intel gaming GPU that will be introduced in the near future. This will allow Intel to increase its position in the market. The new Arc brand will include both software and hardware that power Intel’s high-end discrete GPUs.
These Intel Arc GPUs codenamed ‘Alchemist” will be available for both notebooks and desktops as early as 2022. Both AMD and Nvidia have seen this as a sign that there is a new rival. The Alchemist GPUs have not been described in detail in terms of their performance. The company did however demonstrate the potential of the Arc Alchemist GPU.
These GPUs, as demonstrated in the demonstration, will provide mesh shading, variable-rate shading, and real-time Ray Tracing of the highest quality. The company also promises AI-accelerated supersampling, which is said to be able to counter Nvidia Deep Learning Super Sampling technology (DLSS). It’s not surprising, as AMD launched its FidelityFX Super Resolution in June. These technologies are designed to improve games’ frame rates and resolution.
