Doordash is a tech company that has made its name in food delivery. It offers meal delivery at a low cost and much higher quality than other options. The company recently rolled out some new features available to every customer on doordash.com and the Doordash app for iOS and Android devices, including a few options for ordering ahead of time. Here are some of the new features rolled out by Doordash:
Curated Menus
Doordash has curated menus with select restaurants, including appetizers, entrees, desserts, and other special offerings. You can order from any of the options on the menu and will be eligible for free delivery. You can search "Curator's Choice" on doordash.com or the Doordash app for iOS or Android devices to order from one of these Curated Menus.
Reorder Menus
Doordash is adding additional menus for restaurants you have ordered from in the past, which means you could order from a menu that is not currently featured on doordash.com or the Doordash app for iOS or Android devices. Restaurants that have been part of a Reorder Menu can be seen by selecting "My Orders" under the "My Account" tab on doordash.com and the Doordash app for iOS or Android devices. This feature will be available to all customers and lets you reorder your favorites easily.
Order Ahead
With the new "Order Ahead" feature on doordash.com and the Doordash app for iOS or Android devices, you can place your order up to 12 hours in advance, and it will be waiting for you when you're ready to have it delivered. This feature is available at select restaurants in Los Angeles, Orange County, San Diego, Atlanta, and Washington DC. Content Feed
To make it easier for customers to find new restaurants, Doordash has added a new "Content Feed" feature on doordash.com and the Doordash app for iOS or Android devices. The feed will show you trending news from industry influencers and local food spots that you could order from with Doordash.
Live Ordering
Doordash has added a new feature on the Doordash app that lets you see your order as it's being prepared. This feature is available to customers who use the "Order Ahead" feature and can be seen on doordash.com or the Doordash app for iOS or Android devices after placing your order.
Two-Way Payment
With the new "Two-Way Payment" feature, customers do not need to use cash when paying for their orders. You can pay with a credit card or mobile wallet, as well as Apple Pay or Google Pay. This is available on doordash.com and the Doordash app for iOS or Android devices and adds an extra layer of security to your online transaction with Doordash.
Tipping
Doordash has added a feature that will allow customers to tip their drivers. If customers like their service, they can now send the driver a tip directly within the app or using their credit or debit card on doordash.com. This allows customers to send an extra two dollars to their driver on top of their food delivery charge.
Auto-Healing DMs
When you sign in to your Doordash account on doordash.com or the Doordash app for iOS or Android devices, you can now see the status of your delivery by selecting the "Auto-Healing DMs" link. You will be able to follow along with your driver as they make their deliveries.
Promo Codes
Doordash now allows restaurants to offer promo codes within their menus on doordash.com and the Doordash app for iOS or Android devices. Restaurant partners can now offer customers extra discounts by including promo codes within their menus. This list of restaurants will be updated regularly as Doordash integrates with more restaurants.
Order History
Doordash allows customers to see their order history on doordash.com and the Doordash app for iOS or Android devices. You can easily check your order history under the "My Account" tab on Doordash. This makes it easier for customers to reorder their favorites or choose something new.
Reminders
Doordash is adding a new feature to its website and app that will allow customers to set reminders within the app or use the "My Orders" tab on doordash.com. This way, you are reminded of your favorite restaurant whenever you want. This allows customers to never miss out on their favorite restaurant.
New Navigation
Doordash has updated the look of its website and app with a new navigation system that will make it easier for customers to find what they want quickly and easily. This new navigation system gives customers easier access to their order history, profile, payment information, and more. It also makes it easier for customers to navigate to restaurants, order ahead menus, and Curators' Choice menus. The new design is available for both doordash.com and the Doordash app for iOS or Android devices.
Mobile Ordering
Doordash is now allowing you to place your order from a mobile device by adding a "Pickup" button on doordash.com, which will allow you to view your order within the app on iOS or Android devices. Allowing this feature means that customers can have their meals delivered wherever they are, allowing them to work or have fun simultaneously.
